Severe Bloating

I have had severe digestive problem for 3 years. I get extremely bloating everyday after eating and nothing helps. It feels like there is a lump in my intestines and the pain is horrible. I feel very full all the time and very tired. This all started after a vacation to the Dominican Republic where I got very sick with the same symptoms. They seemed to go away after a couple weeks when I had stopped eating for a couple of days. I was wondering if there was a possibility that I had a parasite or amoeba that has left so much damage even after 3 years? No doctor has been able to help and the only thing that worked was a very strong antibiotic that I had to discontinue or just plain not eating at all.

I've had a parasite test endoscopy catscan and anticramping medications....but all of this was done a few months after i got sick. Im not sure if it could have been an amoeba that is now gone, but has left horrible damage...or if its just a parasite that hasnt been detected. Ive been to so many doctors and none of them will give me the time of day. I was even told that I would have it forever because its just stress..riiiight. And suddenly i've become lactose intolerant...im thinking giardiasis??

It honestly sounds like you may have a parasite. Did you ever get a stool sample?? You may have some allergy to something that you may be eating. But not eating could make things worse! Especially when you start eating again after not eating for a while, that in itself would definatately cause constant hunger pain. Most digestive problems are simply because of poor diet!
