Severe Stomach Pain

for six year now i have serious issues with my stomach. right in the middle of my upper abdomen. every few months out of seemingly no where, it begins to hurt, like a stabbing pain. it usually becomes so intense that i am vomiting, and curled up for a few hours 'til it passes. often times the pain does not go away until i puke up bile (which is gross). last night it acted up worse than ever, it lasted for close to 12 hours, and the only thing that soothed the pain is when i went to the emergency room and that gave me oral lidocaine, which worked for about a half hour. i am so tird of dealing with this. the doctors looked for ulcers and said they couldnt find anything. so pretty much im left with no answers and a very sore stomach. please help!
