Sick all the time, and don't know why! Please help!

I don't know what to do. I get sick so often these days it's ridiculous. And my doctor doesn't seem to know what it is. It all started in 2005 when I was in high school I was sick alot, missing school too many times. So I went into the doctor and he said I had gastroenteritis and possibly ulcers. He prescribed me Prilosec I think. I took it for 2wks as he told me to and it went away.

Well this year it came back with a vengeance. I've been having these "episodes" damn near every week now at least once. I get these "eggy burps" and less than 2hrs later I'm puking my guts out in the trash can while sitting on the toilet dealing with diarrhea for hours! Then I'm so shaky and weak my husband has to carry be back to bed. This lasts all night and sometimes all day! My husband doesn't know what to do and neither do I! I'm missing school again and in college it's harder to catch up. And it's making it harder for me to find a job because I know if I have too many sick days I'll lose it so I just haven't really tried.

I've been to the GI twice and I've had blood, urine and endoscopy/colonoscopy. They didn't find anything and said it's probably just stress. Well maybe but I know something is wrong and it's driving me crazy! I need to get better otherwise I'll never be able to graduate or hold a job!

And yesterday I had an awards ceremony I was supposed to go to for Phi Theta Kappa honor's and go to diner after with my mom who I haven't seen in months. I really wanted to go but an hour before I got sick again!

Someone please help. I'm at my wits end!

Apart from the obvious need to keep following up with your GI doc. You might want to destress your digestive tract. The Specific Carbohydrate Diet was developed to heal the sensitive guts of autistic children. It is designed to limit foods to those that can be completely and easily digested (and avoiding nausea and diarrhea) You may be surprised by what is allowed (meat) and what is not (fiber). Eating largely unprocessed foods will give your guy lime to heal itself. Also low dose naltrexone (LDN) is a cheap compounded med that is helpful in a large number of digestive problems. You may want to ask your GI doc about it. Information about the SCD can be found at www.pecanbread,com. Information on LDN can be found at http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org/  Hope you are feeling better soon.
