Mike, 'high' acid reflux can and does cause throat irritation. It seems to be a specific form of reflux called LPR (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux). If this is what is going on, you need to see an ENT who knows how to treat the condition since it seems from many of the reports that it should be treated in a different manner from 'regular' acid reflux. If there is just a 'feeling' of a lump, it could also be related to acid reflux - a sensation called 'globus' that is reported by many with GERD.
Thank for for information. I will see ENT again but for now would you recommend to take PRILOSEC otc drug or I would need something else? Also, I never had any problems before so do you think that in can be caused by anxiety?
