Undiagnosed pain - need help

I had my appendix removed last year during a laproscopy and they also found adhesion band. I had a hard time recovering, but was fine until recently. A couple of months ago, I started getting the same pain. It hurts when I walked, or stretched or sneezed. I started a low residue diet when the symptoms appeared in order to avoid going to the doctor. Then the pain got worse. Instead of being incidents of pain, the pain was more constant than not. I started having trouble eating (from nausea from the pain and other factors - couldnt even handle instant mashed potatoes made with broth) and I've been living off of clear ensure for 6 weeks now and lost a lot of weight. Even with zofran, im having a hard time getting any other liquids down - even strained soup without an increase in pain etc. The pain is always in the same place (which one doctor says he would automatically think is appendicitis except I dont have an appendix). The pain is pretty awful - cant even sleep through the night.

I've had an ultrasound, colonoscopy and MR Enterography - and all are fine. I have a history of bad scar bands, but not in my abdomen. I'm also running fevers.

Any ideas on what this could be?

the majority of doctors i have seen are in agreement that adhesions seem likely, so they are sending me to a more knowledgeable surgeon. I have a funny feeling that some of the other stuff that is going on might have to do with the lack of nutrition from being on clear liquids so long.

How is your wife dealing with the adhesions? Is she going to have another surgery? How did they diagnose them?

At first I thought it sounded like adhesion's from the surgery. My wife has adhesion's from Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery and she has pain but not all the time and not anywhere to the same degree as you describe. Plus, fever means infection somewhere. I would tend to think that this has something to do with the appendix surgery. Have you brought this up to the surgeon?
