What's going on with my body?

Hi, I'm 21 years old. For the past couple of years I used to have around 4-6 bowel movements a day. They were never diarrhea. They were either a normal stool or a somewhat soft and looser stool. I always thought that I might be lactose intolerant since most of my bowel movements would occur within 1-2 hours of eating dairy.

For the past month and a half I've been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety and was put on anti-anxiety meds by my doctor. Since all this anxiety started, I haven't really had much of an appetite but I've still been forcing myself to eat so I don't starve myself. I've lost about 8 pounds from eating less.

Every night for this past month and half I've been dealing with terrible gas pains and cramping. Sometimes I go to bed feeling extremely nauseous. I only go to the bathroom once a day now and it's usually only in the morning.

What's going on with my body?! Why have I been feeling so crummy lately and what's causing all this gas and me pooping less? I have an appointment with a GI in 3 weeks but I'm dying to know what's going on.

Depending on which antidepressant/antianxiety medications you've been put on, a lot of times, the side affect is constipation. (it ***** yes I know)
Also, stress and anxiety can cause problems with your digestive system too. You've got to get yourself on an eating schedule. Make sure that you are eating foods that are good for your digestive help (perhaps even start on a probiotic to help). The build up of toxins from the waste that isn't going out of your body is cause the crummy feelings and the gas pains and cramping. I would seriously suggest probiotics and even a fiber supplement to assist getting things back to normal.
I hope that you feel better soon.
