When can H.Pylori cause serious problems??

I am 29 years old and over 2 years ago after a lot of problems, I found out I had H.Pylori. I was given a treatment at that time. Within the last couple of months I've been in very poor health and even had to take time off work. I was given two more treatments for H.Pylori and just this past week my doctor informed me I am still infected with the virus. So i'm on to treatment #4! Since I've been struggling with this for so long, i'm just wondering how much damage it has done to my system. These past few months i've struggled with a lot of stomach pain, acid reflux, skin rashes, nausea, weakness, loss of appetite, high blood pressure and the list goes on!! Should I be concerned about stomach cancer, or immune defiencies(I catch everything that goes around), or osteoprosis???

I was tested for H.Pylori through a stool sample. Once I finsih my next treatment they are going to recommend the breath test to make sure it's gone this time.

I do not eat wheat, rye or barley products. so I doubt I have a problem with Gluten. I actually don't eat a lot, especially much of healthy food. My diet is terrible and I have been ashamed of it for a long time. Especially because i've never been able to say that i've been in good health.

I would also like to mention that i've been suffering a lot with depression, anxiety and high blood pressure.

I have been feeling bad for months now and a Dr pricked my finger and said it was to test my blood for h.pylori..it was positive so she Gave me amoxicillin (4 a day),prilosec(40mg 1 day)& clarithromycin (2, day)& I got pribiotics(1 day)..I looked up interactions of clarithromycin and now I'm too scared to take that one..I've just started last night and I'm only taking all except the clathromycin.. Can that get rid of the h.pylori? It says the clathromycin can raise blood levels in a med I take daily (didn't tell the Dr I take it) so I'm terrified.any help as to if just the other meds will do the trick would be appreciated.

How was it determined that you still have H. pylori. Some tests can show the presence of antibodies to H. pylori in the system long after the H. pylori is long gone. Do a bit of reading on the different type of tests and find out if that could be the problem in your case.

If you're still harboring the bacteria and have to be treated again, consider teaming the antibiotics with probiotics - they're the good bacteria you should have in your system but they may be skewed or decimated because of the presence of H. pylori or because of the use of antibiotics. If you're going to use them take them at least 3 hours after dosing with antibiotics and continue them LONG after the antibiotics are discontinued. Some studies show that probiotics can also help get rid of H. pylori.

Since you also mentioned skin rashes, is there any possibility that you might have an intolerance to gluten - in wheat, rye and barley products? Some of the symptoms of acid reflux and a host of other GI issues can be attributed to that problem - and rashes can be common in that condition.
