YOU take care of you!

I understand a few conditions may occur despite what you do. However, most are not. Our society is so used to eating fast, cheap, & easy. When you shop at the grocery store, limit your picking up ANYTHING in a box. You're not eating healthy just because you cook it at home. HamburgerHelper, CompleteMeals, boxed TacoDinners or pretty much anything from a box is crap you shouldn't eat. Shop the perimeter of the store for the majority of your food. Frozen veggies are great, too. Say no to frozen dinners, even diet dinners. Buy food in it's most NATURAL state. NO soda's, sport's/energy drinks, and water down your juice. WATER is for drinking. If you're not drinking enough of it, your body will have all kinds of problems. Fast food will kill you eventually. Don't eat it.

To those who truly have a problem despite a healthy lifestyle, my heart goes out to you. To the ones who don't eat healthy, start today. Stop asking a doctor for a pill to cure what you're doing to yourself. I know some people who are on so many pills for multiple things. Some of their pills are for the side effects of other pills. Get on living healthy and get off the pills.

People aren't eating McD's, Hardee's, KFC, etc because they can't afford to eat real food. Most people are either too lazy to cook or they just don't care if it's healthy or not. Give them a choice between a bacon cheeseburger dripping in grease or a plate of veggies. Most would take the burger. Every time I'm in the grocery store I see fat people with carts loaded with processed food, chips, soda's, etc, etc. It looks like the most execise they get is from shopping for food. You CAN eat healthy on a budget. I do it every day. The problem is discipline, not a lack of money. It's just easier to lay on the couch with a bag of chips and watch tv than it is to get up and actually DO something.

I totally agree that our diet plays a huge role in our overall health.  Unfortunately, cheap is the only way some people can eat these days with this lousy economy.  I'm fortunate in being able to afford the pricey fruits and such, but the whole time I'm thinking, how does someone with children do this, or people who have lost their jobs????  Right now any type of food is a luxury to many people and their health is at risk as a result. But with little money and few choices, they do what they can.
