candida esophagitis

Ok so I was just diagnosed with this problem and I can't eat or drink anything. The pain is horrible. Is there anything I can do to suppress the pain just for a couple hours or an,hour just to eat or drink. I havnt actaully eaten in almost 5 days because of this. the hospital let me go last night because they found out what, was causing me pain. All they gave me was Lidocaine 2% 3 bottles for I don't know what reason I guess for my throat because that's what they said I went in for...which isn't the reason.. and .fluconazole 100mg..and taking the pills is fine and all but I'm still in and pain and hungy

Drink cold things with little acid and no sugars. Sugars and starch will feed the candida. The cold will numb it down a bit. Another thing you can try is drinking clove tea (made from freshly ground cloves), clove can numb pain receptors sightly. It will also numb your tongue somewhat.
Good luck!
