distention

I am suffering from extreme distention of the abdomen, w/o gas or constipation.  This internal pressure has gone on for 2 mo. Drs. want to knock me out to do a scope, too drastic... any ideas?

Have they checked you for a build up of fluid ? you may just need a fluid pill .

Not too drastic - indicated. A CT scan would also be appropiate? Given  that you haven't even given your sex on registration, can't comment on sources of distension without constipation like ovarian cancer.
