Last year, I went to the GI doctor for horrible stomach aches, and everything else that goes along with IBS. After the colonoscopy was performed, my doctor came to the conclusion that I simply have bad IBS. I started taking fiber pills, and saw an improvement until now, about 1 year later.
For the past 3 months, I have been having horrible pains on the right side of my abdomen. It is around where the leg meets the trunk of my body. The pains are so bad, and come out of no where, lasting from 10-30 seconds each time (happens about twice a week). It feels like a sharp sting, or stabbing. Originally I thought it was an ovarian cyst, but have been to the gyno, and had a sonogram where she was able to rule out any gynecological issues. So now I'm wondering if this could be some sort of GI issue. My gyno told me to see my GI doctor again, now that I am having more severe and new symptoms. What does this sound like to you? Crohn's disease? Just a new IBS symptom? I'd really appreciate any help. It's so frustrating and scary not knowing what is causing such dibilitating pain.
