pains in my back

I have IBS.  I get every once in a while, extreme rumbling going on in my right side of my stomach... sometimes across the whole stomach.  And I get some pains in my back too.    Is this gas?  it surely hurts...:(

I would recommend you try eliminating different things from your diet to see if that helps.  You could try eliminating all lactose from your diet and see if that helps.

yes I do have issues with rumbling and gas..  this pain is so bad.  Just had a colonscopy/endoscopy about 2 years ago.. but just had a abdominal ct scan 4 months ago to check for a kidney stone, but my urologist mentioned my other organs, stomach, etc. and said all looked good.   But you never know.  I am a worry wart.  This back pain, hurts bad.. and like I said it does come around to the front sometimes, this is sometimes without the rumbling..

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  This could be gas.  Do you pass excessive gas?
