Yes I was out of it... I knew Id wake up crying because I was scared of results, but after they told me I was fine, I cried cause I was happy,,,lol.... They was good stuff.
Oh, and did the medicine make you feel good? I gots to know!!! GG
Hooooooray!!!!! Sorry you got hemorrhoids, but millions got them, they do flare up now and then and bleed. Drink extra water, eat plenty of fiber foods, and exercise daily, those are the three things that help them. You can also put plain KY jelly on the area after you shower, and it'll help you feel more comfortable while they heal up.
It was a polyp.. They removed it. Had several hemmorroids to.. THank you GOD
Don't know if you mean Tuesday today or next Tuesday, but I can tell you I had a colonoscopy, right in the middle of six months of daily diarrhea a half-dozen times a day, PLUS it was scheduled the day after Christmas, so I wasn't too thrilled either. BUT it turned out to be one of the best days I had in the whole year, because the drugs they give you make you feel FABULOUS. I was kept completely covered up in a warm blanket, never felt strange about anything that was going on, and at first I felt some pressure and said something about it, and they shot in the rest of the drug that was taped with an I.V. to my arm. There are really no words for how good you're gonna feel.
I personally think you have hemorrhoids, which they'll be able to see with the little colonoscopy camera, even tho the rectal exam was normal. On the other hand, let us say you have cancer; colon cancer is one of the best kinds you can get, if that can be said, because success rates for cure are very high. I have two relatives who had it at different stages, and they're long-time survivors. Also, it could be your bowel has gotten twisted or even a benign growth is in there, could be a lot of reasons how come bleeding is coming out of your bowels.
Just keep in mind that once you get up and get going on over to the offices for the procedure, you'll be in the "zone" of doing this thing, and after they bring you back into the exam hallway, they'll hook you all up and give you some initial sedation to relax you, and the exam room irself is very nice and cozy that they do it in, a nurse is there the whole time, and like I said, once they inject that really feel-good medicine, you'll praise the heavens that you're alive in this world, AND you'll barely notice what they're doing. If at any point you are uncomfortable, speak up, like I did, and they'll inject even more of the medicine.
I know exactly how you feel, though. This afternoon a lawn mowing company is coming to my home to walk thru my yard so I can hire them to take care of it for me. For whatever reason, I am extremely nervous about the whole dang thing. I don't get out much, I have disability, but that lawn has GOT to be cut, so all I can do is live with the nerves and I remind myself THIS TIME TOMORROW it will be over with! I hope SOMEthing of this will help you. Health issues are a pain in the neck, scary, unpleasant, and you have to go all over the place to be seen, the list goes on. But like I am thankful someone is going to mow my lawn, and you are thankful someone is going to figure out what's wrong with you, it's still pretty nerve-wracking. Sigh. Life is not all smooth-sailing, but like I said, just think about how great you'll feel when you finally get yourself back home, safe and sound!!!!
