Hi there!

Well, flatulence could occur due to stress, aerophagia, gastroesophageal reflux, malabsorption syndromes, lactose intolerance, GI infections/ parasitic infestations, dietary causes etc. It is common after GI surgery due to stress, diet changes, decreased GI motility, inflammation etc. I would suggest taking a soft diet for the next few weeks and avoiding processed foods. Constipation is best avoided by use of laxatives, while taking caution that they are not over used. Hopefully this should settle over the next few weeks. In cases the symptoms continue after next 4-6 weeks, you may seek a review with your gastroenterologist.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
