Innappropriate Behavior

I've recently started seeing a neurologist for migraines.  Upon the initial visit exam, he lifted up my t-shirt to hear my heart.  As a female, my initial instinct was that this was not appropriate.  I do not recall ever having my shirt pulled up in any exam with any doctor in this manner.  The next time I saw him for a follow up visit he did the same.  On my last visit he did it again - and then strangely squeezed my left side after I had told him that I had put on some weight since I started taking my medication.  He assured me that I "felt good to him".  I am appalled by this!!  I am even more sickened that my PCP referred me to this jerk.  How do I handle this??

I agree with Opinmin. Drop this guy as your Dr. Any Dr I've ever seen has not lifted my shirt to check my heart. He should not have squeezed you either. I'm sorry this happened to you. Take care. Remar

Drop him like yesterday.  You can complain with the board of Medicine in your state.
You should notify your PCP of the situation.  If you are questioning your PCP's judgement related to this incidence perhaps you should think about getting another PCP.

Keep us posted.
