Hi,
What could be the cause of excessive mucus build up, excessive sweating, chills, cold sensation on chest and a mild reoccurring fever that has not gone away for the last 5 months?
It started in April 2017. It has been 5 months now. I do not know exactly what is it and how I caught it.
For the last three months specifically, I have been trying to observe my body very carefully and I can only conclude the virus ( or whatever it is ) is acting like a pattern.
I produce excessive mucus which I would spit out every 2 to 3 hours.
When I produce mucus, I also notice that my body temperature slightly elevates and I start feeling cold.
This happens about every other day.
Also on some days, I would be sweating excessively.
On some days, I would have this cold sensation on my chest as if my chest is getting wet compared to the rest of my body.
And the thing that stays persistent 24-7 is my clogged ears. Both of my ears are always clogged. I also have small amount of ear discharge daily. The doctor has examined my ears and confirmed that he can see some liquid.
I have had two blood tests so far - CBC ( Complete blood count )
Both of these blood tests showed I have high number of Monocytes.
My numbers:
Test 1: 1.0 Normal Range (0.2 - 0.8 x 10E9/L)
Test 2: 1.1 Normal Range (0.2 - 0.8 x 10E9/L)
I have also had mono screening done and its not mono.
My doctor has said that its probably a virus and it will go away on its own.
But it has been 5 months and I am not feeling any better. It stays constant.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
