Start burning up and sweating out of no where

Hello,

I have been getting this unusual burning up sensation everywhere in my body. It comes out of no where. I could just be laying down and it's cool in the room and out of no where my whole body just starts to heat up like a heater and then I start sweating and get really lightheaded. It usually lasts for about 5 to 10 minutes. I noticed when this happens my heart is beating really fast and then when I start to cool down my heart rate goes down. I get really shaky afterwards and extremely tired. Could someone please tell me what this could be please, i have seen a doctor about this and he didn't seem too concerned but, i'm concerned.

P.S when i say burning up bad my skin gets extremely hot and wet and it feels like my insides are on fire.

I’m a man and I just had the same exact thing happen. I’m 23.

It sounds like Hot Flashes to me, but, at your age, I doubt that is the case. To be honest, I would see a good gyn and ask for some test, it could also be your thyroid, so many things can mimic each other.

Thanks for commenting, it's nice knowing I'm not the only one going through this whole blahh thing with heating up lots. I do have IUD though and since I have had it in everything has changed. Maybe, I should get it taken out ?

Wow, after seeing you're only 22 I'm not sure why that's happening to you, unless you had one or both ovaries removed, which is what has been happening to me. I in my mid 30's and since they removed my left ovary, I've been experiencing the same thing. I didn't know that hot flashes could happen from missing only one ovary but it does. In the past I have also experienced that when my blood pressure was extremely high and did a sudden drop. Hopefully, these experiences will be helpful to you. And if your doctor doesn't sound concerned maybe a specialist (ob gyn) might be a better physician.
