Ooh, you poor thing.

I agree with you that you should get seen to as you are experiencing pains in other areas now.  Xrays are OK for bones, but you may need a ultrasound scan that shows soft tissue.

It seems that there is some nerve trapping somewhere along the spinal column or muscle problems.  You do need a further examination to find out why you are experiencing these pains down your legs, upper back and arm.

Hope you get on OK. Let me know how you get on.

Best wishes.

Hi lol I will try not to let her do that again :-) it was silly really as I was doing her chest straps up on her rug when one of my other horses kicked out at her and she ran forward knocking me to the ground and ran over the top of me and ran over my chest. It is still really sore and I am taking pain killers and still it is sore . I might go back to the doctors as I think they could of missed something . On the sheet of paper for the x-ray it said exclude the lower part of the chest and that is were it is sore the most just before my stomach area. And now it is getting sore on my upper back and legs and down my left arm . It could just be bruising but I'm not sure.  Thank you very much for getting back to me you are so very kind x

Thanks for letting me know how you are.

That is excellent new that you have nothing broken.

Unfortunately you will feel sore and bruised for a while, you can take pain relief as directed on the packet,  if your discomfort is unbearable.

Hope you do not let that horse, or any horse, get on top of you again.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Best wishes.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Tracey,
Wow, that doesn't seem like a pleasant experience and I hope you feel better soon.  You should see a physician ASAP for some testing to make sure everything is OK.  As was mentioned above, a chest xray is certainly appropriate and hopefully you just have some bone/soft tissue bruising.  Bruising or bleeding around or within the heart muscle itself can be a serious issue for some patients, but that is unlikely to be an issue for you if it has been a few days since the accident and you have not had any symptoms like loss of consciousness (or nearly doing so), lightheadedness, shortness of breath, or palpitations.  Hope you recover soon!

Horses are very heavy creatures and with the horse standing on your chest, he may have broken a rib or more.

I would suggest going to the hospital emergency room to have your chest xrayed.  There is nothing that they do for broken ribs, and you will be sore for quite a while.  But is best to get checked out for any damage to the ribs or other organs.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Best wishes.
