Dry feet

My feet are extremly dry on the heal and between my toes. I have used all kinds of lotions, oil, seen foot/ankle doctors and they are not heal. Could it be something in my diet that causes this problem? It has been going on now for over 2yrs. Thank you,
Paula

I have that problem and I soak my feet (in hot water) at night for about 15 minutes in just about whatever (I like scented bath salts) then I use a foot file (I have two different kinds and they are available all over) and apply a lot of lotion (just about any kind you prefer) while they are still damp and put on a pair of socks.  If you can't sleep in socks at least wear them for a while so the lotion sinks in.  Synthetic socks would work better because the cotton tends to suck up the lotion.  Ever since I started doing that the cracks in my heels that used to be so bad they would bleed and all the dry skin is gone.  It's about 25 minutes total that I have to make time for, but it feels fabulous and is so relaxing and everybody deserves at least 25 minutes for themselves everyday.  Hope that helps.

I like gymdandee's answer.

We sweat a lot through our feet and if you do not drink enough water it may be one problem, but it also could be caused by your socks and/or shoes. I wear only 100 % cotton socks because I am allergic to synthetics and even leather shoes. (When I am at home I wear organic cotton socks)

Try jojoba oil (pronounced ho-HO-ba) You can buy it at any health food shop.
Provides all day moisturization jojoba oil doesn’t evaporate like water based moisturizers can. Very stable  jojoba oil does not become rancid or lose antioxidants even after long periods of storage. Spreads well and absorbs well. The organic variety is free of pesticides, GMOs, and is sustainably farmed. At night before bed, feel free to go for it
after dispensing any moisturizer onto your palm, try adding a few drops (I use 6 drops) of jojoba oil to make it into a super moisturizer. Flakiness will subside and the moisturizer will have an improved feel on your skin. Make sure to wear socks to bed.
