My pain Doctor has changedmy pain meds. and I am not sure how to handle it without going into withdrawals. I've been using Nalbuphine-1ml twice a day up until the past 2 days in which I reduced the doseage to .5ml twice a day. My Dr. told me to stop the Nalbuphine and begin taking Percocet 10-325 in 2-3 days. I'm concerned I will go into withdrawals during those 2-3 days. I don't know if this is the correct way tochange from an opoid antagonist to just an opiod. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows the answer, please post it or e-mail me.     I'm very confused, worried and just don't know how to handle this change.   Thank You!

you may go through withdrawls like having hot and cold flashes. i was on pain pills that were a narcotic for 3 years and my pain dr. took me off of them and put me on a non narcotic. i had hot and cold flashes for a week until my body got use to being on the new medication. if u do get hot and cold flashes sit in a luke warm bath for 30 minutes and it will take them away completely. it is common to have withdrawl sympotms if you were on a certain medication for a long time and than get taken off of them.
