Fainting

Occasionaly I get really dizzy and either almost fall over or faint. It's gotten increasingly worse over the years. I'm only 16 and it's happened when i was 13-14 in school and before that but not bad. But its really scaring me. I was at my friends house with my boyfriend and we were standing outside talking and i felt the weird feeling of black and white pulsating flashes coming on and i tried to fight it, but couldnt. I lost my balance and fell into my friends car then hit the stone driveway on my back, almost hitting my head on a pointy rock. they rushed over and took me inside and i relaxed and felt better except for the pain from hitting the ground. this time it was different than the other. The others, my heart would feel like it was beating hard and this last time i didnt feel anything. my body kind of felt numb. Also, it's happened to my cousin when he was my age. could it be hereditary? please help me, i'm clueless. thanks!

I think you are wise to see a doctor, it is best to find out what is wrong before things get out of hand. Please let me know how it goes.

i think i'm going to see a doctor. My mom is a little reluctant thought. She kind of thouught it could be from birth contorl pills, but it happened before i took them, so it wouldnt fix it. someone told me it could be Neurocardiogenic Syncope. I'm not sure..my neck is feeling better, still a little stiff.

Please see a doctor about this. It could be hereditary, heart related, or a host of other things, I would not let it go on too long.

Also, along with the doctor, see a chiropractor, if your neck and back are out of alignment you can have these types of problems as well.

Best to have all bases covered.
