Bump in the pubic hair region, not sure what it is.

Hey all, I'm a male. So a bump appeared in my pubic hair region a few days ago. It feels hard and just recently got a little bit red. Just yesterday, it 'popped' and began bleeding a bit. I cleaned it off and it seems to have stopped, but sometimes when I wipe it, dry blood is there. Today it popped and began bleeding again but the bleeding seems to have stopped again. I'm not sure whether or not this is just a regular pimple or if it's something like an ingrown hair. I have not shaved this area before. Not sure whether or not a picture of the bump helps, but I have one if it does help. The bump also hurts when it's touched and the tip is red.

It sounds like a pimple to me. Ingrown hairs could also be a possibility. You could try popping it with a needle and then drying out with alcohol. If that doesn't work and it continues to go on for awhile, i'd see a doctor. Just to make sure that it isn't an abscess!
