tired with achey legs

I'm 68 years old and have no energy. My legs feel tired and achey. I used to be a ball of energy but now very low energy and no motivation to get things done. Any ideas? Tks. MC

I agree with Blu Crystal.  Vitamins are very important right now.  My Mom is 94 and is taking several supplements to keep her going.  (She runs circles around me and I'm 69).  Both of us take:  Cod liver oil (for the heart), Flaxseed oil (for cellular health), Magnesium (for muscles), and Milk Thistle (for the liver).
I believe that our food has been modified so greatly that it no longer contains the nutrients we need.  B 12 is also supposed to give you a boost of energy - I don't take it every day, just when I feel "out of energy".  Be careful, though, and do not use those so-called energy drinks as they contain a lot of caffeine which can be hard on the heart, kidneys and liver.
If you have a chance you might want to watch "Food, Inc." on your computer to learn more about how our foods have been modified.-  Good health to you.

You may have an underlying medical problem like anaemia or thyroid problem.  Your doctor will be able to take a blood test to find out.

Your aching legs may be due to spinal problems, and your doctor should be able to help you with that.

Feeling low in energy and losing all interest and motivation can also be a sign of depression.

Your symptoms also may be from a bacterial or viral infection.  If the doctor diagnoses a bacterial infection, he can treat this with antibiotics.  Antibiotics with not help with viral infections.

See your doctor so that he can do the blood tests and talk with you about how you feel.  If the blood tests come back normal and the doctor feels that it is depression you are suffering from, he can prescribe you with some antidepressants.

Hope you get on OK

Best wishes

I recommend going to the doctor and having a CBC (blood test) done, full panel, to find out if you are anemic or have hormonal problems.  Other than that, daily vitamins like Centrum Silver would be good for you if your diet isn't great.  Blessings - Blu
