I have bite like welts that turn into huge swollen bruises

A few weeks ago i started waking up to a itchy area in the same spots (ankle knee elbow) that would bout an hr later turn into HUGE PAINFUL BRUISES..At first i thought they were some kind of bug bite, went nuts at the thought so i had a inspection of my home and they found nothing but 1 very old DEAD bed bug.. But today (a few weeks later) woke up at my moms house with the same thing yet again on my elbow forehead and hand .. Not only are these things making my body literally look deformed in the placess I'm getting them but the pain brings me tears ! ! Ive tried all sorts of creams and nothing works.. Before the swollen burning what feels like on my bones and skin , tyey start out looking like small welts or mosquito bites.  I haven't went and seen a Dr yet altho ive been extremely close everytime due to the pain but i swear the doctors where im at will send me right back home with an ice pack and thats it. Any one please let me know if you know anything or how to atleast stop the pain at home . ice packs bring very temp relife as well as warm ones. I wish i could show pics

O yea my kids (5-3) sleep with me and only my 5year old has non painful tiny tiny bumps all over her like yud get if your using a bad soap or something.

I know you are hesitant about seeing a doctor, but I really feel in this case you should. They will do some blood work to rule out infections, etc, and will be able to prescribe stronger meds than you can get over the counter.
