Inflamed eardrum

Woke up to a pain in one of my ears this AM. Using an otoscope I took a picture of the eardrum and it shows a red bubbly patch covering about half of the eardrum. Is there a way to post jpeg pictures here?

Hello~I would see your GP for this issue, you don't want to get an ear infection, they can turn into something worse if not taken care of properly.

As to adding photos, I am not too sure how folks do it here, I think if you want to add it to a comment, you have to share a link, but again, I am not sure.

Thank you for the response. I did see my DR today and it appears that I may have two fibers of fiberglass insulation in my ear causing the inflammation. I am trying to get an appointment with an ear nose and throat DR for monday but my DR put me on antibiotics in the mean time. Thanks again for the response.
You are very welcome. I hope the antibiotics help and that the ENT can remove the fibers easily. Maybe all it will take is irrigation. Please keep us posted.
