I have problems with body odor that smells like bowel fecal.

My doctor rans all sorts of test, blood test, colonoscopy, gastrostomy, infections test everything check out ok. It is so embarrassing to discuss. It really took a toll on me. I shower everyday. Washes up after every bowel movements even when i urinate, so i can smell fresh. But, the smell just lingers on me.  After eating sweets, the odor gets worst. I take probiotics, Azo,. I had hemmordectomy surgery, hysterectomyi tried all sorts of things, still nothing helps. People on my job laughs and make fun of me. I was thinking about taking my life. Help me.

I am lactose intolerant as well but butter and cheese are a non issue as it's not enough lactose to matter. I eat plenty of butter and cheese.  My diet staples!  I can also drink some milk but too much and it's to the bathroom! lol I have read you can eat up to 12 grams of lactose in one sitting before symptoms show up.

Choline is in a lot of foods though from chicken to peanuts. If your odor is that bad then it would be worth ruling out Trimethylaminuria. It's a simple as having a urine test.  As for sugar I did find an article from Huffpost entitled 5 Foods That Can Increase Your Body Odor from Huffpost...

"Processed (junk) foods The mechanism for this food-odor connection has not been pinned down by researchers, Jaliman says, but the refined sugar content of junk foods, as well as their high glycemic index (a measure of how different carbohydrates raise blood sugar levels), are likely to blame. It’s thought that the sugar present in the blood after eating junk food alters the make-up of perspiration in some people when it combines with bacteria on the skin, leading to changes in odor. Processed foods also lack chlorophyll, the chemical that gives vegetables their color and acts as a deodorizer and cleanser in the body, neutralizing the bacteria that causes BO.

“After a week of abstaining from such food, the odor should go away,” Jaliman says — a problem if you’re a daily processed snack consumer (which, of course, you shouldn’t be)"

Thanks for the information about the vitamin B12. As for the Trimethylaminura, I get a fishy odor from time to time. I don't eat much bread, eggs, or cheese. I am lactose intolerance. When I eat sweets, body odor gets worse.

I have an unpleasant body odor when I'm not taking enough vitamin B12 (I have autoimmune pernicious anaemia and take sublingual B12 spray daily). I ran out of B12 and didn't take it for a week. Big mistake there as one of my first symptoms to show up is body odor.  My mother can barely stand the smell and lets me know all about it lol. Interestingly, I can't smell my body odor.

I've read vitamin B12 helps with the metabolism of choline so my body odor surely has something to do with this. There is another condition called Trimethylaminuria - also known as fish odor syndrome but you can also smell of faeces or really just an unpleasant body odor.  The treatment for this condition is to restrict the intake of foods high in choline such as eggs and cheese.
