Need some help for a 70yr old

I posting this for my mother.  She been telling me for the past 2 days when she go to the potty she been having strange problem.

First night she was telling me when she go to the bathroom her fingertips starts to tingle/numbing but only lasted when she go.

Today she telling me she couldn't sleep because her finger still feel little tingle but she was alarm that when she went potty and when she wipe she discover water type blood but only when she wipe.

I was thinking maybe UTI infection or can it be something else.  We having a snow storm atm so I can't call her DR. and go there.  Some info and help will be nice since I don't really know what to tell her.

Thanks.

Give her plenty of water and cranberry juice until you can get her to the dr's, it does sound like  a UTI..but you might take her to se her OB  to request a pap smear to make she isnt having any female problems also.

As soon as you can get her into the doctor you should. It could be quite a few things ranging from serious to not so serious. With the tingles and the slight blood loss I would check her medications and see if any of them have a side effect of thinning the blood.

My first thought was vasovagal, but then as I read more I dont know what to say. Obviously she needs to see her doctor, but as you stated its storming, so that is not possible. Its possible the bleeding is serious or something such as hemoroids--but that would depend on where she is talking about bleeding. If I were you, with your moms age, I would call her doctor and explain you can not drive in the storm, but if its an emergency the ambulance can be called.
