Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. We are sorry that you are having this difficulty and pain with your wrist. As Easter is after this weekend, we advise you see a doctor when you can next week. It is hard to say with no additional details what is going on with your wrist. If you work repetitively with your wrist, you may have an issue that has built over time from that work. What do you do as your profession? Or perhaps you did something recently that aggravated it? Has anything happened in the last couple of days that could produce some trauma to the wrists? Or perhaps you slept on it wrong.
If repetitive use of the wrist has lead to this, it could then be inflammation that results in tendonitis. This is treatable as are most things. Here's an article that may help you narrow down what is going on. https://www.emedicinehealth.com/wrist_pain_symptoms_signs_and_causes/article_em.htm. Please let us know how things go at the doctor.
To try until then if you can take without issue is ibuprofen, try icing it and mild stretching. Let us know how you are doing.
Hello~I hope that by now it is better, but if not, then maybe see either an osteopath or chiropractor, you may have some little bones in your wrist that are out of alignement, it can happen, especially in people who work on the computer a lot and use the keyboard more than most. The chiro or osteopath will feel the area and possible give it a minor adjustment, they may also take an x-ray first to see what is occurring.
Also, it may not be a bad idea to check into Carpal Tunnel, that can also cause some of the symptoms you are having.
