Pain near left side of tail bone

Hello everyone. So a few months ago I started getting a dull, achey pain that lasts for a few seconds near the left side of my tail bone. The pain seems to happen a few times a week, and then it will go away for a while, and then come back again. I started getting the pain again this week after not feeling it for a couple of weeks. It will happen randomly a few times a day. I think it mostly happens when I am sitting down, but the last time I got it I was bending over. I know this is a very vague description, but does anyone know what this could possibly be? Could it be a nerve problem, like sciatica even though the pain doesn't radiate down my leg? Or could it be a problem with my colon maybe?

Arachnoiditis is the condition I was thinking of. It's pretty painful. You can find the symptoms and treatment if you do an online search

I wonder if it could be coccydynia?

I can't think of the name of the other condition I am thinking of right now. As soon as it comes to me I will post it here.

There is a website you may want to look at it is: tailbone pain.org (all one word)
