Skin is still yellow after Betadine treatment (staining)

I had a wound from a week ago and I've been told to put Betadine on it every day by a doctor as part of the treatment. I did it once a day, but I might have been a little too lax with how long I let it stay. Sometimes it goes a day before I wash it off before re-applying it.

At first, I could still wash off the yellow 'stain', but after 3-4 days, even after I've stopped reapplying and no matter how much I wash it with soap and water or with alcohol, the wound and area surrounding the wound are still yellow tinted.

Please help me how I can remove this staining. How long will this last (should it be possible that it can go away overtime on its own)?

Hello, I think you will just have to let it wear off, I am not familiar with anything that will help. Maybe if you ask your pharmacist, they would have a suggestion.
