Swollen lymph nodes on my neck

hello
its all started about 2 moths ago.i had a lot of lymph nodes swollen on my neck and behind my ear(only right side),i was kinda dizzy and i had a little bit raised temperature.
my doctor assumed that i've got those while i was driving with opened windows after swimming .so we i didn't do any blood work yet.though im pretty sure that i don't have anything like STD or HIV.
today after 2 moths all my lymph nodes disappeared... except the biggest one on my neck. Its much more smaller than it was  but i still can touch and feel it.
also today when touched it i felt really bad,its not a sharp pain but it felt bad.(all my lymph nodes were painless before).
though now i don't have any pain again.
so now im kinda nervous,
maybe there is another reason for my lymph node, like perfume allergy,or my glasses, maybe they are touching a vein or something^^
Should i worry about that ?

Did you have an ear infection or pressure in the ear from swimming? Anyway, sounds like you had an infection. Usually, the lymph nodes swell due to infections and other more serious but less likely things. Mononucleosis can also swell up the lymph nodes. If you had mono you would also have a sore throat and be very tired. They can be painful and sometimes not.  Sometimes it takes a while for them to go away. It sounds like the nodes are going down as you are getting better. so, I wouldn't worry just yet since the other nodes are going away. If it gets worse or the last one doesn't go away you can go to and ENT doc and have them take a look. My so called lymph node turned out to be a muscle (after a cat scan). Due to the location the ENT thought it might be a clogged salivary gland or tumor but it wasn't . So all is good. It was extremely sore and now it is ok after months. That is not to say yours is anything other than a lymph node. the fact that you had a fever and dizzy with the lymph nodes suggests you got an inner ear infection from swimming. Try using ear plugs. I had the same problem swimming in a gym pool and kept getting ear infections (which I had never had in my life). So, it can happen.

Don't poke at your lymph glands, that will make them sore. I have had swollen lymph glands for years & used to wonder why.I have now been diagnosed with a hypercalcemia due to a parathyroid tumor. Get your blood work done. better to be safe than sorry!

Well, you have to be scratched by a cat to get cat scratch fever. If you have been around a cat then the diagnosis could be that as well. Anyway, I hope the problem is resolving.
take care,

Maybe you should be tested for cat scratch fever. I had a similar problem. My one lymph node hurt very bad on my left side, I felt lethargic, and had a mild fever temporarily. The lethargy and fever went away, but not the pain in my lymph node. It lasted for months and months. The doctor assumed mono or possibly some vitamin deficiency (because I am a vegetarian). The tests all came back negative: no mono, no deficiencies, no cancer, etc. I asked my women's health doctor and she thought that it may have been cat scratch fever, which generally takes care of its self, runs its own course. I was never tested for that. Maybe that's something you could inquire about with your doctor.

Although, mkh9's comment would make alot of sense as well. It would explain the dizziness.
