Muscle pain on leg after being hit

One week ago, the back of my left leg was hit accidentally by a kick. The pain was "ok" it went away after a few minutes with a random sore feeling for 2-3 days. Then it was gone.

Now one week later I am experiencing a different kind of pain than before on the same area. The feeling of the pain is not like when you get hit it's different now.

It's been continuous for 3 days now and it's hard to sleep. I try to put liquid Salonpas and it helps relieve the pain for a moment but it comes back after some hours. Any idea what is this and do I need to go to the doctor now? Thanks.

@gymdandee: Thanks I will try that.

Update: I notice that when I walk down the stairs I can hear a snapping sound in my knees. I also hear snapping sounds from my knees down to my ankle when I stretch my legs. It feels as though there is a slight bone dislocation. And, I also feel some nerves are "tighten" causing slight discomfort.

Try Icing it for 10 minutes a few times per day and apply moist heat a few times. Give it a few days and if it doesn't improve then see your doctor.
