blood pressure - high or not?

I've been to two different doctors over the past couple of days for different issues, they both took my blood pressure and both times it was about 130/75.  One doctor said it was a little high especially the top number but the other doctor said it's totally fine.  Most of the time by blood pressure sits around 115 - 120 for the top number and 70 - 75 at the bottom.

is my blood pressure slightly high or is it normal???  I am a 19 year old female.

Thanks :o)

Hi, Thanks for all your coments.
Sassylassie - not under any stress but I am recovering from heart palpatations after a failed attempt at increasing my thyroid medication less than a week ago.  So thats probably why the top number is a little off, it's probably still normalising after that.
Londres70 - thanks for the link!!  We actually have a blood pressure machine at home so i am keeping an eye on it.

I would not be overly concerned if it was just ONE reading.

There is a chart on www.highbloodpressure.org you can view.  It breaks down the age groups and the ideal bp readings for each group.

You can always have it rechecked as well.

It is a little high for my liking. Are you under any extra stress? Your bottom number, diastolic, is perfect, the top number should be under 120, but, if you are stressed, it will naturally raise.

The top number is a little high, but nothing I would be highly concerned about.  An ideal bp is 120/80, but that is ideal.
