diverticulitis

diagnosed with diverticulitis, have been on antibiotics for 24 days, off for the last 24hrs and the pain had returned along with several bowel movements, also been on a low fiber diet. should i consider surgery

Nope. Avoid surgery unless all other methods of healing fail.

diverticulitis can be a pain to deal with make sure you stay away from anything that contain seeds or nuts these lil culprits are likely to get stuck and cause pain and inflammation you should ask your dr if there is anything you can take to help make the bowel movements easier surgery should be the last thing you want to do

No! Give it more time to settle. I was diagnosed with it 3 years ago and it comes and goes but it can be managed. Once those sacs become inflammed they need time to clear out. Just eat lottsa soups and stuff like that for awhile to give your bowel a break and the inflammation should calm down. It helped me from doing the extreme surgery. *hugs*
