drinking wine

I'm 29 and went to a party yesterday.  The party was all girls and people that would not put something in my drink.  I had 3 1/2 glasses of white wine and was doing fine.  I was told that I looked green and went to the bathroom, but did not come back out.  I passed out on the floor and was breathing in almost a panting heavy way, but not shallow.  They tried to wake me, but could not.  People at the party wanted to call 911 and thought this was not normal.  My Sisters friend was convinced that she could monitor me and call 911 if needed.  They carried me to the car and called my Husband.  When they got me home my Husband came to the car.  He was worried about my fast panting like breathing, but I was breathing normal when they got me in the house.  My sister wanted to wash the puke out of my hair and they put me in the tub and tried to wash it out.  At that point I would move a tad when touched and even nod my head a little.  It was 2 hours after they left me with my Husband before I was awake and talking.  My Husband not regrets not calling 911.  He said he just thought I was passed out from drinking and was convinced the nurse would tell him otherwise.  What do you think happened?

I would recommend seeing just your medical physician first and tell him/her about what happened.

I'm a light weight when it comes to drinking, but I often drink 2 glasses of wine and I'm fine.  I can also drink 6 or 7 vodka drinks or something like that and be fine.  I have drank that much wine over a little longer period of time.

I can't help but wonder if a dr. can do allergie testing on it.  After reading on the internet my Husband said he is scared to death.  He said he never thought about the fact that I might not be okay.

Hello,

Thank heavens you are ok after that ordeal.  They should have called 911; bad judgement not calling.  Time would have been wasted to revive you if your breathing and/or heart had stopped.

Are you on a medication at this time that could have been a bad mix with alcohol? Have you drank that amount of alcohol in the past and been ok?

Seondly, it is not a bad idea to keep an eye on your food and drink at parties, etc.  Does not matter how well you think you know people. That is just a bit of advise.
