lidocaine hci

circumstance: left pointer finger, at work i stuck a cedar sliver under the nail past the start point of the nail. I attempted to pull it out and it broke off. only 1/4 inch came out so a good 1/2 inch is still in there i can see it thru the nail. I attempted to cut and split the nail with razor blade but once i got part way thru nail it hurt bad. my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches.  advice as to where to put the needle (i got from cvs insulin 31g-8mm),what to expect ie: will it burn- how long b4 its numb, and if i split the nail will it grow back? any advice will help..

I advise you to stop fooling around and see a physician.  You have the potential to take a simple medical issue into a situation where you could lose your finger, your hand, your arm or your life.

Your friend has one genetic disorder that is helpfull. If he ever takes a bullet in the head it will go careening into empty space.
