I was using whey protein, but since i was not building good mass i shifted to this product which actually is one of the leading products in this category. Just to be safer i wanted to know if it is harmful in long term.
With weight gainers, just keep an eye out for high sugars. Some of them are packed with 80+ grams. Look for one with more complex carbohydrates, quality proteins, and good fats. Some have added flax seed oil, CLA, sunflower oil. Also, it's more expensive but try to get one with a higher protein blend of whey isolate. Most are a mix of whey concentrate and soy. The isolate is way lower in cholesterol and digests easier. Much easier on your kidneys and does it's job repairing and rebuilding your muscles a lot better.
if your gonna use anything, take whey protein, any kind will do. eat a lot of lean food and dont over work. This stuff is safe if not over done
