82 day HIV test

Hello doctor, I am new to this site and was wondering if I could get your insight on my hiv test results. Back in June I recently found out my bf was cheating on so I decided it would be smart to get tested. At 6.5 half weeks (47 days) from the last time we had unprotected sex I went to the clini and for tested for all stds including hiv with came back negative. The test that they used was the 4th generation duo test and was told that my test were conclusive. Due to my anxiety and sress I decided to get tested again at 82 days (2 days shy of 12 weeks) at planned parenthood with a rapid antibody test. This came back negative to my relief. I was told I was fine and could move on past this but I guess a part of me still has some anxiety about the whole thing, so I wanted a second opinion, are my test results conclusive? Should I get tested again at 6 months? Does the number of how many times my ex and I had unprotected sex affect the accuracy of my results? How accurate are rapid antibody test? And lastly have you ever seen someone test negative at 12 weeks go on to test positive at a later date assuming no risk activity took place? Thank you for your time.

Unfortunately I don't know when the doctors forums will be accepting questions again.  They are currently down for scheduled review.

Take care.

I would like to add that this is not the doctors forum.  However, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here in the free forums happy to help.

No! You don't need further testing.  HIV is not your concern.

No!  It doesn't matter how many times you were with your partner.

The rapid test is accurate.  The HIV DUO you had done at 6.5 weeks was conclusive.

Remember this odds are highly unlikely your partner was infected with HIV to begin with.
