HIV symptomns after having sex for the 1st time in life

Hello Doctor,

I am a 30 year old male from India. I had sex with a sex worker in Thailand about 5 months back. I stayed with her for an entire night. I was inside her 3 times during the time and all the 3 times i had vaginal sex with condom. Once i saw her getting wet when i was inside her. That was the first time i had sex with a women.

I saw the condom on top of my penis everytime after all 3 ejaculations (3 times i ejaculated). I am having sore throat for the past 1 month with occasional fever. I am very much nervous about HIV. I am not getting proper sleep and my life has become miserable since then. I am planning to get married soon. Can i go for it?

Please suggest the risks of me getting HIV. Should i go for a test? I read that the symptoms might occur even after 10 years. Please suggest.

Thanks,
Bala1981

When you read about the symptoms over 10 years didnt you read the section that Condoms are used for safe sex and prevent HIV? If not have another read on HIV transmission. You was never at risk in any way or form you describe.
