Bad Experience

Hi all,

Just wanted to say thanks in advance for answering.

8 months ago I had in September of 2013 I had unprotected vaginal sex with a CSW.  I tested negative for all STD's including HIV but wanted to ask a question as I had severe symptoms 4 weeks after exposure and still have some lingering symptoms (occasional cough, fuzzy feeling in head, sore shoulders/neck area, soft stool, etc).  After exposure I had high fever and was very itchy.

Anyway, I tested with rapid, Elisa, Pcr-RNA, and combo test after three months all negative.  I had combo tests done at 6 and 8 months and rapid tests (clear view and uni gold) in between the combo tests.

Given my symptoms I'm having a hard time moving on.  My doc is not finding any cause so I continue to worry.  Can this be a new type of HIV that isn't picked up by the testing equipment?  Could it be HIV-2?  The exposure was in Las Vegas Nevada.

Thanks,

JC
