Continue to work with your doctor concerning your symptoms. This forum does not discuss and cannot address your symptoms, as symptoms are not diagnostic of HIV infection.
I will visit the HIV anxiety forum, I think that is a long time coming. Before I go, I really would just like some pure insight on this Thrush thing. Mainly, and not even in regards to what I think and why I'm scared, just clarification, because I don't understand.....and you and Teak and Lizzie Lou have vast knowledge on this subject.
If I was indeed having Thrush due to HIV, it would have to be ARS symptoms, because Thrush otherwise related to HIV is in advance stages of it, not early. Correct? Like, I wouldn't develop Thrush randomly 3 months after a perceived risk? Just 2-4 and then after? This is something I need help understanding and this has me very worried and scared.
We can't help you with what you think. This forum can't help you with anxiety with HIV. Try the HIV anxiety forum and/or a therapist.
Thank you for your response. I understand what this forum provides, and, I am grateful for the calm it provided me during my last scare, and throughout my worries. I've come to know your name as well and appreciate all you do for the people on here seeking advice, knowledge, and logic.
I'm really just curious about the following:
"Why is THRUSH slated as a symptom of ARS, so, early infection and then advanced signs of HIV? The reason I ask is because, I'm either in the early stage, or an unknown advance stage. Is there no inbetween"
I don't think it is some coincidence that I have THRUSH all of a sudden. White patches all over my mouth, YET NO PAIN :< "
And yes, I know my doctor knows I'm worried about HIV because I brought it up.....but, I couldn't get an answer regarding Thrush/Symptoms.
This is a risk assestment forum, you have been given your no risk situation unless your gf is cheating on you. Thrush means nothing when it comes to HIV. Your Dr either an idiot or he knows you worry about HIV and hopes a test will calm you down.
Welp,
Just got back from the DOCTOR. He said it looks like a mild case of Thrush. I asked him about HIV and he suggested testing. :<
I'd love if someone could clear up my above question for me....I'm really getting scared again, and the thought of going to get tested and have to sit through that and wait for the results scares me.

Lastly, something that has always confused me: It is said that symptoms mean nothing, but how does one ever come to the point where they are like, "I'm not feeling to good, something is up, I need to get tested for HIV?"
Ok, I do understand that.
This is my confusion. Why is THRUSH slated as a symptom of ARS, so, early infection and then advanced signs of HIV? The reason I ask is because, I'm either in the early stage, or an unknown advance stage. Is there no inbetween?
ARS is diagnosed after a person it diagnosed as being positive not before.
Teak, thank you. Seeing your name is both reassuring and also, in a way, letting me know that I better word this follow up question correctly so I don't waste your time!
If I may ask you this: 1.) Why is THRUSH listed as the most common of the "triad of ARS" symptoms? And 2.) Am I correct in my knowledge that if one gets THRUSH in HIV, it is in the late stages of the infection? This is something that I have been banking on, because I know I'm not in the late stages of HIV. However, the conflicting timeframe of my 2 above statements has me confused. It is most common in ARS, then, only in advance stages?
Thrush is not HIV specific. You don't have an HIV concern. If you are worried about your mouth see your doctor or dentist.
I forgot to mention, these clusters of white spots look like patches. Which, again, from all my reading, scared me even more. It doesn't look good
