Hi, unprotected sex like your describing is considered high risk activity but the odds are quite low that you would contract it from a one time affair like this. You can take the DUO test at 28 days for conclusive. And if she did not have any genital sores at the time, your risk for herpes would be close to zero from a one time incident. Testing for herpes at 8 weeks would be a good indicator.
100% protected sex turns otherwise all of a sudden, as soon as the protection fails during sex. This is the single and sole disadvantage associated with condoms. Correct and consistent use of protection is the key to avoid failures. Never use any organic lotion, lubricant or any other stuff on condom because any organic ingredient in that stuff may act as a solvent for the latex leading to its failure.
In vaginal sex, you do not need any induced lubrication, however if needed, use water based lubes.
Since your were exposed to the risk, get yourself tested for HIV, using HIV Duo (Antibody + Antigen) 4th generation test after 28 days of your exposure. For other STD's, you may get the advice from the respective forum
I got the escort girl tested today for HIV using ORAQUIK.she was very supportive. Her result came as clear negative after our 1 week of accidental encounter.
I am going to get tested again for all STDs after three mobths in any case as I am not sure she may be going thru her window period of three months as well. The girl will also test herself after one more week.
So my question to the forum now is to understand how much effective is the oraquik tests. I got this from CVS pharmacies.
Oraquick one week after an exposure is not going to tell you anything. You need to take your own DUO test at 28 days.
But it would show that she does not have hiv if she did not have any unprotected sex 28 days prior to you being with her
Your partner's single isolated test does not relieve you from the requirement of a test of your own, unless it is confirmed that, "She did not have any unprotected exposure in last 3 months, from the date of the Ora Quick Test"
