I just need some peace of mind. On 10/28/2010 I engaged in unprotected oral sex with a heterosexual male of unknown status (he has not been tested, but stated that his most recent partner has been and did not have any stds). I went down on him for a few minutes, but he did not ejaculate in my mouth (so only exposure to precum). He did perform oral sex on me.
I tested for HIV using the HIV rapid response blood test on 12/23/2010 and my result was negative. I have since been tested for other STDs and my results are negative. I tested again for HIV (standard blood test) on 2/17/2010 and am waiting for results. How secure can I feel in the original negative result?
My concern is that after being on Minocycline for two weeks I developed a rash on my chest and arms, discontinued its use (rash went away) but developed a yeast infection about a 1.5 weeks after discontinuation (1/11/2010) and it has lasted at varying levels of intensity for a month. I've learned that persistent yeast infections and skin can be a sign of HIV infection.
Questions:
(Assuming he is positive)
How reliable is my original negative result?
How risky is receptive oral sex (male to female)
Yeast infection likely due to antibiotic use?
