Hi MDman8192 - oral sex in all its forms is has no risk of HIV infection because 1. HIV is a very fragile virus and cannot survive for very long at all outside of a host body 2. Exposure to light and air kills it 3. There are enzymes in the mouth that render the virus inactive (I.e the virus is killed by those enzymes). I had a similar scare and was advised by healthcare worker (an RN) that even with the canker I had in my mouth I would not have been at risk when I performed oral sex on someone I had recently been involved with but was unsure of his HIV status. I would say that if all you had was unprotected oral sex that you had no risk. Hope this helps.
Hello Saty
Thank you for responding. Should I be tested? What if my my gums bled during the incident? Am panicked, please help.
Thank you for your response. Can you be a little more specific why it's "No risk?"
