Determine test

I live in Uganda, 2 years ago I went to private clinic and was miss diagnosed for a a viral infection, I told the doctor I have been abstaining he insisted I take Aciclovir and Doxycillin. A week before I had tested for HIV and all was well 3 days after beginning medication I did the test again and the determine strip was reacting the rest of confirmatory tests were not. I went from lab to lab testing HIV and other possible diseases all were non reactive apart from the hiv determine test strip. Finally I go to a government hospital, I talk to this reputable doctor he tells me I was miss diagnosed what was being called a viral symptom were just penile papules since I still had the foreskin. He told me just to ignore everything and go home. I went to an international hospital the doctor looked at all different lab reports and just told me to go home its 2 years now only my determine test strip is still reacting! Why? is the only trouble I have. Does any one have an ideal answer? could the meds have caused a reaction in my blood? I have no health complications.

Yes the confirmatory tests ie stat pak and unigold are non reactive meaning I have no HIV my big question is about why my Determine strip what makes it react. it never used to before I took those meds

If you were to have had a positive result you would have been given a confirmative test. CBC will not tell you anything about HIV.

here there are three rapid strips determine, stat pak and unigold rapid test strips so the determine test strip for 2 years has been reacting the rest of the strips which are taken to be confirmatory test strips never react. If you read the original post you will get the whole history. So someone told me its highly sensitive to any viral infection but then again I asked whats that infection. No answer was given. My CBC results are all in range showing no presence of a virus. thanks Teak

If it was 3 months since there last unprotected sex and didn't have unprotected sex with anyone else while with you then you don't have HIV.
