-help me-

My name is Ann, I am 16 years old, almost 17. I had my first sexual experience a month ago, of course, I used protection, but I also had oral sex, which was not protected. I don't really know the guy, but I think he is having a lot of girls, so I am very scared now, if i got HIV. Then I asked him and he said that he took the test last year and that everything was ok, but I don't know if I should believe in what he said.
I would like you to tell me if oral sex is very risky when it comes to HIV transmission? and also what kind of injuries I need to have in my mouth to make that transmission possible?
I am very afraid now, and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!

You could test for STD's as there could be minor risks of Oral sex without bothering abt HIV. also its good to know you are taking precautions and protecting yourself. Also you could do oral sex putting a condom on the penis and that would also protect you from other STDs, continue to use protection like condoms etc

There is no possible way for you to have gotten HIV from oral sex, and your sex was protected. There is no means of a route of transmission for HIV. These people know what they are talking about and you need to believe their advice. If they thought for even one second that you might have been at risk, they would be telling you something different than "you had no risk." Please move along and relax, and just remember to always use condoms for vaginal/anal sex and you will remain HIV negative. Relax! :)

ohh thank you this is a big consolation :) but you know I heared, actually read some articels where ome people said they had one oral sex and got HIV or I read an article where a gay man said that he got HIV via a simple kiss, I see you know a lot about it, I mean, unfortunately, you are a lot of time in the ''HIV story'', so what is your opinion about this?

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex.  The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way.  Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk".  There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Please educate yourself about the real risks.  If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. "   DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who belive that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..."   DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA

The observation on thousand and thousand of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort).  DR. HOOK

oral sex does NOT transmit hiv.  there are over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that inhibit infection from taking place.
