Fingering and exposed fingernail flesh/hangnails

I made the smart decision NOT to have sex with her but I ended up fingering her instead...

Upon pulling my fingers out of her vagina a slight burning ensued on my index and middle finger due to exposed flesh as a result of my bad habit of biting my nails. I also noticed that there was a slight blood spot from hang nail I had bit off too.

I do not know the girl's sexual history, but know she was very active and had a history of substance abuse.

What is the probability of contracting an STD such as HIV from this activity?

Because my raw finger touched her vaginal juice, I'm pretty sure some sort of chemical reaction occured!

Sorry to sound so ignorant.

Sorry for the double post. For some reason it posted twice.

Thank you for your reply Lizzie Lou.

Hopefully everything is okay, the burning sensation in my fingers is what gave me the impression that I was exposed to something. It was probably just irritated in a way that putting rubbing alcohol on them would have burned a bit.

It definitely wasn't bleeding to a point where either one of us noticed. And yes, if it was, I definitely would not have.

In closing, I will take my own advice and discontinue dealing with risky people. I promise my next encounters will be with committed individuals that agree to get tested together before we engage in any sexual activity.

Hopefully I don't fall into the category of people that contracted a condition through a cut in the finger due to a small chance.

Thank you again

hiv can only infect a very few, very specific types of cells. these cells are not found in your finger. if you had a cut on your finger larger enough, open enough and bleeding enough to be a real pathway to cells that hiv CAN infect, believe me, you wouldn't be sticking it into some woman's vagina.
