What I can tell you from multiple responses from HIV specialists and as probably you have also read, private data suggests Duo tests are fine any time after 4 weeks. However international guideliness state that only a 3 month test would be conclusive.
Your 40 day duo test was negative and you should expect the same for your 3 month test.

but i have heard that p24 antigen once developed remains detectable after 16 days to 8 months and also can somebody have undetectable amounts of both antigen and antibody at same time and still have the infection
Duo test antigen part is worthless at 40 days, but any negative test antibody is ood.

You can't use someone else test as yours. 3 month antibody is conclusive for you.

i would like to add that the guy told me he donated blood just one month before so does this makes him safe and also the intercourse time was really brief and also i got him tested after 1 week he came out negative and i have told him to go for duo test in mid of september it would be 2 months after the exposure if he will come out negative then can i consider myself out of trouble

Your 40 days duo is reassuring and very highly unlikely to change otherwise, in the weeks to come. However conclusive test remains at 3 month mark. Though unprotected anal sex is a risky behaviour, not everyone contracts HIV from a single incident.
You are suggested to repeat the test after 12-13 weeks of the exposure and collect your conclusive report. Unprotected sex with anyone of unknown health status may puts you at risk
