I keep wondering the same thing
So on plannedparenthood I read that it can take up to 3 months for antibodies to develop. They did not mention 6.
that's why we decided to wait for 6 months ,
even though all her test result always come back negative , as i described up there in the time frame of 3 months
( we start at Sep to make love )
she took test at Oct : Elisa Test
she took test at Nov : Elisa Test
she took test at Dec : AG\AB test
3 Months is conclusive. 6 Months is outdated.

Although it is in New York...I think all of the US uses the same tests.
i read it man , it says also 3 months are enough period , ::
" Most people infected with HIV will develop enough antibodies to be detected by HIV antibody tests four weeks after the exposure (transmission). Virtually all cases of HIV infection can be detected by three months "
first of all , what does it mean by " Virtually " ?
also , they didn't talk about ( AG\AB ) test man ?
virtually means nearly all because statistically no test is 100 % conclusive if you want a 100% test the best test would be to see whether you live over 15 years and if so then we can guarantee that you don t have HIV. the AB/AG test is very accurate and i would say 6 week is more than enough it up to you god bless cheers
