HIV and Oral Sex

I mostly am a heterosexual and having a very stable and healthy sex relationship. But I am curious about homosexual activity every now and then, especially in older guys.

on 7 June, I had my first experience with an older gay man, he is kind of a professor in language. We met and had oral sex, both giving and receiving. I gave it about 4-5 times, 1 minute each time tops. I tasted the pre-cum from him, but didn't swallow any. He ejaculated, not in my mouth, on my hand, one of my fingers has a minor cut sized as a sesame. I am quite sure there was no obvious cut or bleeding in my mouth, but I am not sure if there was any micro bleeding. Right after that, I spit a lot, and brushed my teeth and wash my mouth with Listerine after about half an hour.

Since he is an old gay man, I am 100% sure he had many more homosexual experiences than me, I am worried that he might have HIV. So I text him today to check, he reply me that he is clean, no contagious  disease, but not in a very cooperative or straightforward way, feels like being offended by me. He also told me that he is in good health, from what I have seen, likely so.

Because this is my first time with a man, I am worried about HIV. How is the chances that I might get infected? What should I do next?

"There is no credible evidence that HIV is spread through oral sex, with or without the presence of cuts or blood in the persons mouth."- DR HOOK

now move along...you had no risk and we are not going to keep repeating ourselves.

Big problem !!!

Today one of my teeth bleeds out of blue, then I remember this tooth frequently bleeds, like once in a week. I am sure that day I performed oral, it was not bleeding, but I don't know if there was a wound or cut still there,I mean, I don't know since it was not bleeding if there was skin covering the wound?

There was no semen in my mouth since he didn't ejaculate into my mouth, only pre-cum, no blood from that guy either.

Does this raise the risk to a much higher chance?

FROM THE HIV EXPERTS HERE AT MEDHELP:

"As you know from other posts about oral sex, our stance is that giving or receiving oral sex is not a risk for HIV.  Some others suggest that there is an appreciable risk of HIV from oral sex however, there are no convincing scientific reports which support these statements.  The presence of a burn in your mouth, or a sore, or ingestion of blood does not change this.  Still no risk an no reason for testing."  DR HOOK

"As far as HIV is concerned, there is no known risk of getting HIV from performing oral sex on an infected partner, even if that person's genital secretions get into your eyes or if you swallow"  DR HOOK

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex.  The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way.  Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk".  There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANDSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Please educate yourself about the real risks.  If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. "   DR HANDSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who belive that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..."   DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA

The observation on thousand and thousand of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort).  DR. HOOK

"With regard to the question you ask, I will repeat, as I’ve said more times than I can think- there are NO credible cases in which persons have acquired HIV through performance of oral sex- none!!.  The chance that you will be the first is ridiculously low.  You are more likely to be hit by lightening while reading my reply to you. DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." DR HOOK

Stupid enough, even though I had some emotional contact with other women, but I never physically cheated my gf with other women. This is the first time I had a contact outside of my relationship, and it is a male.

Is it risky that his semen did touched my finger with small cut?

Thank you for your comforting words.

I will to be 200% faithful to my girl, from this day on. Never mess up with any other person any more, male or female.

Curiosity kill cats is a very true saying, curious about having an experience with a male is fxxking stupid. I am worried because I always think that although according to various articles or posts, you guys said that oral sex is not at risk of getting infected, but I might be the exception.

I shall have it tested after 4 weeks to confirm.

My concerns are actually worrying about pass the virus to my beloved girlfriend.

My guilt of having this stupid contact with that man is killing me. If I had it infected, my personal health or life is not a problem to me, I deserve it, but I will most likely to kill myself if I pass the virus to my girl.

Thanks Teak, but still, how the early symptoms of inflection could be?

I have read from internet that it could be like flu, and it takes two weeks for these symptoms to appear?

You don't have an HIV concern and had you, 2 weeks post exposure is way to early to test.

Thanks RainLover71, I think I am now quite panicked by this stupid action of mine to meet this guy.

I am now still trying to ask him for a definitive answer of his HIV status. And will definitely have a test after 2 or 3 weeks.

My question is, is it accurate enough to check after 2 weeks of exposure?

Even if he has HIV and a high viral load it's still no risk.
